26th November 2011.. 2nd day @ Phuket...

Here where we check-in (Good Value for short & long - stay... ngeee)

SCUBA (Self Contain Underwater Breathing Apparatus) - Can take diving licence here.. Cost of scuba diving equipment is at least 600 Baht. There are lots of tour agents within Phuket who offer 2-3 days of sailing and yachting while doing several water activities.

Patong is one of the widest beaches of Phuket with 3 to 4 rows of beach chairs. It is the main tourist resort in Phuket. Patong Beach is as equally famous for its nightlife as also the 3.5-kilometer beach that runs the entire length of Patong’s western side.
<><><><> </> <><><><> </> <><><><> </>
Nightlife is centered on two main areas Bangla Road and 'Paradise Complex', with Bangla Road being predominantly straight and Paradise Complex being predominantly gay. Both roads are lined with many themed bars, discotheques, and go go bars.

Prostitution in Thailand is illegal but tolerated as is the case with Patong Beach, especially on Bangla Road where there are many older Western men drinking with much younger Thai women and transvestites. Most discos in Patong charge a 100 baht admission fee but rather than being a cover charge, this is actually a drink minimum since you get a voucher and most clubs charge 100 baht for almost all drinks.

Walk around Patong Beach...Probably the best beach in Phuket, Patong's 3,000 metres of white sand gently curves around a bay fringed with casuarina trees.

Various activities can be done in Patong Beach.

Swimming is fantastic here with a clear visibility in the northern end of the emerald water and a warm water.

<><><><> </> <><><><> </> <><><><> </>
Other fun activities in the beach include banana boating and a relaxing Thai massage

<><><><> </> <><><><> </> <><><><> </>
Island hopping to some of the closest islands in Patong are also available.

A massage for an hour may cost about 200-300 Baht.

Foreign tourists sunbathing @ Patong Beach. You may want to experience urself hang-out here..

Some of the tourist bring their family here..

There are many road side vendors that offer motor bikes for rent, from the zippy 100cc moped type to the 750cc road race variety.

Based on my research, no motorbike is insurable, regardless of what the vendor tells you, and many a persons holiday has been ruined by an accident on a bike here. That means if you have an accident you will almost certainly be responsible for all bike repairs (or costly replacement), all medical bills for yourself and any other involved parties - regardless of who was to blame... aiyooo..
